PROMOTION PERIOD: The VETERAN ENERGY 4th of July (“Giveaway”) starts at 12:00:01 p.m. CT on July 1st, 2022 and ends at 11:59:59 a.m. CT on July 31st, 2022 (the “Promotion Period”).

HOW TO ENTER: On July 1st, 2022, Veteran Energy will post a 4th of July Giveaway announcement on the Veteran Energy website homepage, in an email newsletter and on Facebook including details about the contest and giveaways. To enter, contestants must either, 1. access Veteran Energy’s landing page and complete the upload form hosted by Shortstack and upload their photo, or 2. send an email to social@VeteranEnergyUSA.com that includes a photo attachment or a Dropbox or Google Drive link to their photo. You must be a current Veteran Energy customer to be eligible to enter the Giveaway.

On August 1st at or after 12:00pm, a 3rd place prize of $100 will be awarded to the entrant of the photo receiving the 3rd most votes via Shortstack. A 2nd place prize of $300 will be awarded to the entrant of the photo with the 2nd most votes via Shortstack. The grand prize (1st place) of $500 will be awarded to the entrant of the photo with the most votes via Shortstack. The prizes will be awarded in the form of a Visa Reward Card and will be mailed to the winners via USPS Mail. Photo entries will be managed, compiled and calculated in Shortstack. Limit one entry per person. Contestants may vote a total of 5 times for any photo entry and may vote only one of the 5 times for their own photo entry. The time period to submit an entry to this giveaway begins on July 1st at or around 12:00 p.m. when Veteran Energy makes the giveaway post and sends the newsletter and ends on July 31st at or around 11:59pm. Voting will begin on July 1st at or around 12:00 p.m. and ends on July 31st at 11:59pm. Voting participants are not required to submit a photo entry to vote.

Veteran Energy Company (“Veteran Energy” or “Sponsor”), Facebook and other Giveaway Parties defined below disclaim any liability for damage to any computer or mobile device resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with this Giveaway and are not responsible for printing or typographical errors; incorrect or inaccurate registration information; late, lost, stolen, misdirected, postage-due, illegible or incomplete entries or entries received after the deadline; computer system or phone line errors, software/hardware malfunctions or other errors; data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials; or for failures or delays in transmissions that are human or technical in nature. Entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. By entering, all participants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and judges, which shall be final in all respects. Void outside Texas and where prohibited.

ELIGIBILITY: Participants must include a photo submission and photo description to be eligible to win. Employees, officers, directors, agents, vendors and representatives of Sponsor and each of their parent companies, respective subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising/promotion agencies involved with this promotion (the “Giveaway Parties”) and the immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses) and household members of such persons are not eligible to win. You must be a current Veteran Energy customer to be eligible to enter the Giveaway. By entering, Entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules.

PRIZES: On August 1st, Veteran Energy will review votes via Shortstack and award the prizes as follows: a 3rd place prize of $100 will be awarded to the entrant of the photo receiving the 3rd most votes via Shortstack; a 2nd place prize of $300 will be awarded to the entrant of the photo with the 2nd most votes via Shortstack; and the grand (1st place) prize of $500 will be awarded to the entrant of the photo with the most votes via Shortstack. The winners will be announced on August 1st, 2022, on Veteran Energy Facebook page on or after 12:00pm CT. Veteran Energy will contact winners via the email address provided with their photo submission. The prizes will be awarded in the form of a Visa Reward Card and will be mailed to the winners via USPS Mail.

ODDS: Odds of winning any prize depend on the number of valid votes received on any given photo entry. All prizes will be awarded provided the number of eligible entries received is equal to or greater than the number of prizes available.

PRIZE CONDITIONS: All taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners. All prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. Prizes depicted in promotional material issued in connection with this giveaway are for illustrative purposes only and may not represent the actual prize awarded. No substitution, assignment or transfer of any prize is permitted, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in its sole discretion. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Limit of one (1) prize per eligible entrant.

PRIZE DRAWING/WINNER NOTIFICATION: The prize winners will be announced on Veteran Energy Facebook page on or around August 1st, 2022, at 12:00pm CT and the winners will be contacted via email using the email address provided at the point of entry. If the announced winners do not contact us at the email address indicated within 72-hours of the announcement, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for prizes to be delivered by USPS mail.

RELEASE: By participating in the Giveaway, all entrants and winners, on behalf of themselves, their executors, heirs and assigns, agree to release, hold harmless and indemnify Sponsor, Facebook and the Giveaway Parties from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses of any kind to persons or property which may be sustained in connection with the conduct, promotion or outcome of the Giveaway; receipt, ownership or use or misuse of any prize; or while preparing for, participating in or traveling to and/or from any prize-related activity in connection with the Giveaway or otherwise. Under no circumstances will Sponsor, Facebook or the Giveaway Parties be liable for punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages. Notwithstanding the foregoing, winners are not waiving or releasing any right under any applicable rules or regulations of the Public Utility Commission of Texas governing retail electric providers.

Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and Giveaway Parties to use winner’s name, city and state of residence, photograph, or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion for Sponsor in any and all forms of media without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. You waive any and all right to inspect or approve the finished advertising or its use and Sponsor and Giveaway Parties will be without liability to you for such advertising or use. You and your assigns forever release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor and Giveaway Parties from any and all claims or liability arising from or related to any use of your photo and the rights granted by you in this Release, including but not limited to claims for violation of copyright, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, defamation, or other adverse result arising from the publication or use of your photo. This Release will not create any obligation that the Sponsor use my photo. Entrants also agree to allow Veteran Energy to download, store and edit photo submissions.

GENERAL: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or suspend the Giveaway or any portion thereof should a virus, bug, malicious tampering, or other cause beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Giveaway. In the event of cancellation, termination or suspension, Sponsor will select winners from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to such time.

Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify anyone found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway or any website hosting the Giveaway, or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules, or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

Under no circumstances will more prizes than those set forth in these full Official Rules be awarded. If a printing, technical or any other error occurs that results in more potential winners than available prizes stated, Sponsor may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible potential prize winners to award the number of prizes indicated.

Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the photo submission. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, prize will be awarded to the person listed as the primary account holder for the Veteran Energy account number from which entry was received, pursuant to above, subject to eligibility requirements.

Sponsor may modify and amend these Official Rules as they appear online from time to time during the Promotion for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Promotion. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or printing errors in the advertising of any prize included in the Giveaway or the Official Rules, website pages or other promotional materials.

CHOICE OF LAW: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Giveaway, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Texas, without regard for conflicts of law doctrine, and all proceedings shall take place in Dallas County, Texas.

FORCE MAJEURE: Sponsor shall not be liable to Winner, or any person claimed through Winner, for failure to supply a prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any government or regulatory agencies’ regulations, orders, actions, or requests, equipment failures, natural disasters (including, but not limited to, earthquakes, fires, floods, tornados, hurricanes or unusually severe weather), labor or material shortages, transportation interruptions of any kind, terrorist acts, riots, civil disturbances, or any other cause beyond Sponsor’s control.

WINNERS’ LIST: To obtain the names of the winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Veteran Energy Facebook Giveaway, P.O. Box 660361, Dallas, TX 75266-0361 by September 1st, 2022.

DATA COLLECTION: Sponsor will only collect the name, email, city, state, zip code, phone number and video file. Please review Sponsor’s privacy policy statement at Veteranenegy.com. By participating in the Giveaway, entrants hereby agree to all of the terms and conditions of the privacy policy of the Sponsor. If you do not wish to receive future giveaway or contest communications from Veteran Energy, please send a written request to Veteran Energy at P.O. Box 660361, Dallas, TX 75266-0361, with your name and email address, and we will remove your email address from future giveaway/contests mailings within 60 days.
